IBC（国際ビジネスコミュニケーション）プログラムでは、4 年間かけて平易なレベルから段階的に英語を使って国際社会や国際ビジネスについて学びます。語学力に加えてこれからのグローバル社会を生き抜くために必要な批判的・創造的思考力、問題解決能力、コミュニケーション能力を身につけるプログラムです。詳細についてはこちらをご覧ください。

経営学部国際ビジネスコミュニケーション（IBC）プログラムの一環として、学生は2学期間にわたって国連の17の「持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）」について英語で学び、実践します。

前学期にはJICA（独立行政法人国際協力機構）や海外移住資料館について調べ、小グループでプレゼンテーション用のスライドを作成しますが、先日はみなとみらいキャンパスから徒歩20分のところにある海外移住資料館を訪れ、授業で学んだことを実際に見学しました。

同博物館は、日本人の海外移住労働者の生活と、歴史を通じての海外での生活に焦点を当てています。中でも多くの学生の目に留まったのは、日本人移民が海外での新しい生活を始めるために日本から持って行った品々でした。 特に人気があったのは、1930年代のレコードプレーヤーで、 何人かの生徒が持って帰りたいと口にしていました。

今後、博物館で学んだことを活かしてプレゼンテーションのスライドを改良し、授業の最終日に発表する予定です。

海外移住資料館は横浜みなとみらいのJICAビル2階にあり、SDGsの資料が多数用意されているほか、海の見えるレストランもあります。

As part of the Faculty’s International Business Communication (IBC) program, students learn about the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in English. Over two semesters, students cover all 17 Sustainable Development Goals and begin to put them into practice.

During the first semester, students research and create presentation slides in small groups about JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and the Japanese Overseas Migration Museum.

On June 24th, the IBC students visited the Japanese Overseas Migration Museum located twenty minutes on foot from the Minato Mirai campus to see firsthand what they had been studying in class.

The museum focuses on the lives of Japanese migrant workers and their lives abroad throughout history.

For many students, the highlight was seeing the items that the Japanese migrants decided to bring from Japan to start their new lives abroad. The most popular item was the 1930s record player. Several students wanted to take it home.

The students will apply what they learned at the museum to improve their presentation slides, which they will present on the last day of the class.

The Japanese Overseas Migration Museum is located on the second floor of the JICA building in Minato Mirai, Yokohama. There are numerous SDG materials available, as well as a restaurant with a view of the sea.
