Kanagawa University Diversity Declaration

       Kanagawa University promotes diversity.

       Kanagawa University works to protect the freedom and human rights of each of our diverse students, faculty, and staff, who have come here from many places both inside Japan and overseas, and strives toward the creation of a university community in which various differences are accepted as aspects of a person’s individuality. At the same time we work to prevent any kind of discrimination based on characteristics such as nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, creed, origin, age, sex/gender, sexual orientation/gender identity, or disability, and aim to create a more inclusive society.
       Kanagawa University communicates to students the importance of understanding and respecting different attributes and values, and seeks to help them become citizens of sound conscience and understanding who can contribute to lasting peace in the world and to the happiness of humanity. Along with aiming to identify and address the roots of discrimination and prejudice in society, we also convey to society the importance of promoting diversity.
