    Participant Testimonials

C.Y. from City University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong)

I am glad that I can stay in Japan for a month and visited many different places. Also, I have tried many different Japanese traditional culture such as tea ceremony. I will cherish this experience and "arigatogozaimashita".

    C.J. from Konkuk University (Korea)

I really enjoyed this program. As we know, the main purpose of this program is learning Japanese. Teachers are really kind and they are always well-prepared for the class. The students can learn Japanese with speaking, reading, writing and listening through the way that we've never experienced in their own country. In addition to the main purpose of this program, I got many things from this program. One of the most valuable this is "people" There were so many programs and class that make us understand more about Japanese "people!" And also all of Japanese "people" in this program is really kind. I think that thing helped me to do my best in this program. Although it's a-month short program, it worths more than time we spent here. I really high-recommend to other people to do this program.

N.V. from Purdue University Northwest (U.S.A)

The faculty at Kanagawa University care a lot about the students in this program, and they want the students to have a positive experience while staying in Japan. The schedule is filled with valuable experiences and interesting learning experiences that really help participants better understand Japanese life, history, and culture.

W.R. from Universiti Putra Malaysia (Malaysia)

First of all I would like to say thank you and it is really enjoyable program! I really like it very much! Before this, I do not know anything about Japanese language except "arigatou" and "sumimasen" only because my major is Engineering and nothing to do with Japanese Language. After I joined this program, it seems that Japanese language is really interesting to learn. I hope after this I can continue studying my Japanese language and I am looking forward to come again to Japan to further my Master or PHD and work at here if I had a chance. Overall this program is awesome and really enjoyable!

A.M. from University of Miami (Venezuela)

Kanagawa University Japanese Summer program was an unforgettable experience. It gave me a greater understanding of Japan and its culture in a number of areas such as Arts, History, Cuisine, and Architecture. I made many friendships during this trip that I hope to see in the following years of my life. Classes offered excellent listening and communication opportunities. Not only will you get to know Yokohama but numerous places around Japan, This was a once in a lifetime experience.

    F.T. from Universidad Veracruzana (Mexico)
