Kanagawa University Library has been having a cooperative agreement with the other universities in Kanagawa Prefecture and in Yokohama city, Kanagawa Prefectural Library and Hiratsuka City Library. If the libraries of Kanagawa University do not hold an item you wish to use or borrow, you can visit the library of another university or research institution to use the item.
Visiting / Using the libraries in partnership
You can visit to some libraries without a prior appointment and visiting arrangement. Be sure to take your ID card (issued by Kanagawa University) and confirm of the visitor policy of the library you plan to visit in advance. It is written on the library’s website.
Using / Visiting libraries (issued a letter of introduction)
A letter of introduction is required when going directly to other university libraries. Generally, most of the university libraries are not open to the general public.
Procedure of a letter of introduction
- A letter of introduction may be requested at the reference counter (2F Yokohama Library, 1F Hiratsuka Library). As a general rule, it takes a few days for issuing a letter for visiting arrangement. Please make a flexible plan.
- Please confirm the following things and make the application.・The material you desired is not having in Kanagawa University Library.・A librarian will make the visiting arrangement, so do not inquiry directly by yourself to university library that you wish to go.

- We will you inform you and issue a letter of introduction when the other university library reply to our inquiry.
Notes
- Please note that you will not able to cancel, but if you will not able to make a visit be sure to inform the reference counter (2F Yokohama Library 1F Hiratsuka Library).
- Please present Kanagawa University ID card with a letter of introduction and be sure to observe the rules and regulations of other libraries.
