Graduate School of History and Folklore Studies (Yokohama Campus)

Course of History and Folklore Studies

Based at Kanagawa University's Institute for the Study of Japanese Folk Culture, this is the first graduate school in Japan to focus on the study of the historical materials and artifacts related to folklore from the dual perspective of history and folklore. The following three fields of inquiry have been established with the aim of training highly skilled professional curators: Documentary Historiography, Folk History and Artifacts, and Museum Collection.
