Kanagawa University is a comprehensive university with seven undergraduate faculties consisting of eighteen departments and one program as well as eight graduate schools covering fifteen majors located on two campuses (the Yokohama Campus and Shonan Hiratsuka Campus). Students can specialize in studies of areas of interest from a wide variety of options in liberal arts and science. At the same time, they can flexibly take interdisciplinary curricula that cut across various fields of study.

Graduate Schools
The graduate schools of Kanagawa University were established to foster individuals who take their undergraduate education a step further by acquiring high-level R&D capabilities and effective application skills. Also, in response to an increasing desire on the part of people already in the workforce to further develop their skills, the university has adopted a special enrollment system that gives such people broad access to daytime and nighttime doctoral programs (first half only) at the Gradate School of Law, Graduate School of Foreign Languages (English Language and Literature Course), and the Graduate School of History and Folklore Studies.
